Wisconsin Cancer Data

We show here how we can use a simple regression case on the breast cancer data using Logistic regression as our algorithm for classification.

import matplotlib.pyplot as plt
import numpy as np
from sklearn.model_selection import  train_test_split
from sklearn.datasets import load_breast_cancer
from sklearn.linear_model import LogisticRegression

# Load the data
cancer = load_breast_cancer()

X_train, X_test, y_train, y_test = train_test_split(cancer.data,cancer.target,random_state=0)
print(X_train.shape)
print(X_test.shape)
# Logistic Regression
logreg = LogisticRegression(solver='lbfgs')
logreg.fit(X_train, y_train)
print("Test set accuracy with Logistic Regression: {:.2f}".format(logreg.score(X_test,y_test)))
